Local UPS Driver Gene McCool Honored for Safety | Business | Arlington News
UPS is proud to announce that Emmitt “Gene” McCool has been inducted into its Circle of Honor. UPS’s Circle of Honor is the highest safety honor a UPS driver can achieve; each driver must amass at least 25 years without an avoidable accident to qualify for induction.
UPS has long enjoyed an outstanding reputation for safety in the transportation industry. UPS drivers log over two billion miles a year on U.S. roads and average less than one accident per million miles driven thanks to drivers like Gene, who recognize that safety is a way of life.
Gene is a package car driver out of the Jacksonville facility and provides service on Atlantic Avenue. He and his wife, Donna, live in Jacksonville. They have three children: Patrick, who is 35 years old, Keghan, who is 24, and Lyndsey, who is 20.

Rare! 1964/1965 JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA Magazine BOB HAYES
This item is a very rare magazine from the Winter of 1964/1965, titled JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA and published by the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce. The front cover photo is titled “Christmas In Mayport”. This book contains 40 pages of great information and vintage color and black & white photographs. There is even a special article about BOB HAYES, the world’s fastest man at the time, and Olympic champion who later played NFL football for the Dallas Cowboys. This is a terrific piece of history for a Jacksonville collector. The book is in good condition for its age with just minor wear. You will get the exact book pictured below. Al’s Pizza
I like this place, I like their pizza. We ate at the Riverside location in December, and used a coupon to get two 8 inch pizzas for $10. Not a bad deal, in my opinion.

Vintage Recalled, vintage clothing in 5 Points
I stopped in here a few days ago with my girlfriend, and made a few impulse buys, but I’m glad I did. I picked up a couple of unique old t-shirts (1 for myself and 1 for my girl) as well as a cool jacket for myself. The store is located at 817 Lomax Street in the 5 Points. Jacksonville Municipal Stadium (Jaguars) Soon To Be Called ‘EverBank Stadium’
Hmmm.. I’m not really a fan of naming stadiums after corporations, but I suppose it’s a necessity these days, although it has been three years since the stadium had a commercial name, when it was Alltell Stadium. I’m still somewhat in the habit of calling it Alltell actually.
